Zakira is the head of the social skills, parent support and parent training groups as well as line therapist. She has a passion for working with children and teens on the spectrum as well as community programming. She has over 8 years of experience with facilitating group therapy sessions, trainings and private therapy work. She graduated with her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Walden University in 2015, preceded by her B.S. in Heath Education and Promotion from Georgia Southern University. Along with her experience within the classroom, she has completed internships with the Bulloch County Health Department and COMIZIA Care Inc. These internships helped shape her passion with helping children and teens, public speaking and community outreach. She is currently on the Autism Speaks Resource Fair Committee for the 2016 year. Zakira strives to make a difference in the therapy room as well as within her community.
